QIYING YIN
MANAGING DIRECTOR
Qiying graduated with a Master’s degree in Process Systems Engineering from South China University of Technology. She carried out her PhD studies in the Centre for Process Integration of the University of Manchester in the field of Integrating Reliability, Availability and Maintainability into process synthesis. The methodology developed in her research has been patented by the University of Manchester and licensed exclusively to ProAIM. Qiying has 14 years of experience in the processing industry and is dedicated to developing new ideas to keep ProAIM at the forefront of cutting-edge technologies.
ROBIN SMITH
DIRECTOR
Robin graduated with bachelors, masters and PhD degrees from the University of Bradford in the UK. He has extensive industrial experience with Rohm & Haas in process investigation, production and process design. He has acted extensively as a consultant in process integration projects. He has published widely in the field of process integration and is the author of Chemical Process Design and Integration, published in 2005 by Wiley. He is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, a Fellow of The Institution of Chemical Engineers, a Chartered Engineer and a Chartered Scientist.

STEVEN BURCHELL
TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
Steven is internationally recognised, with more than 30 years of experience, & was BP’s Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Reliability Engineering and Discrete Event Simulation modelling. He has a proven track record in developing business solutions & decision support tools to make recommendations on multi-million dollar investment options in the Petrochemical Industry. Steven is a recognised Industry Expert in Reliability Engineering & DES modelling, and a contributor to several ISO Standards on Reliability Technology.
LIJIE LI
TECHNICAL GROUP LEADER
Lijie graduated from the University of Liverpool with an MPhil in Mechanical Engineering. Since graduation, he has obtained more than 9 years of experience in the oil & gas, chemical, pharmaceutical, and cement manufacturing industries. This involved projects in the Middle East and Asia. Lijie’s work focuses on asset integrity, reliability improvement, functional safety & project management. He is also a skilled user of softwares such as RAM-int, MAROS, TARO, & Isograph.
BAHRAM KHALIGH
SENIOR RELIABILITY CONSULTANT
Bahram has more than 30 years of experience in academia and the chemical industry. He served 7 years for ICI, a major UK chemical producer as a senior process and control engineer, and some 10 years as a lecturer in chemical engineering, process control, instrumentation, reaction kinetics and reactor design. Bahram has extensive experience in process modelling, conventional and advanced process control and applied statistical modelling techniques, with specific expertise in the area of reliability and availability.
KEVIN BROADBENT
RELIABILITY AND MAINTENANCE CONSULTANT
Kevin has over 25 years’ experience as a senior reliability consultant, specializing in the upstream Oil & Gas industry, subsea, offshore and onshore production, focused on maintenance strategies, reliability assessments, compliance & verification. Kevin also has direct project experience of commissioning and installation of hydraulic shutdown control systems. He is highly competent in EAM, CMMS systems and custom bespoke software development.
KIERON LENNOX
BUSINESS CONSULTANT
Kieron graduated as a Graduate of the Royal Society (GRSC) of Chemistry at Cambridge and has since worked in the hydrocarbon processing industry for over 25 years. His experience ranges from oil and gas production to downstream refining and chemicals processes. He is focused on delivering operational excellence to enable customers from Europe, Middle East & Asia to maximise their operational profitability.
